一类非线性Schr(o)dinger方程的守恒差分法与Fourier谱方法

考察了一类带导数项的非线性Schrodinger方程的周期边值问题，提出了一种守恒的差分格式，在空间方向上采用Fourier谱方法，证明了格式的稳定性和收敛性．数值试验得到了与理论分析一致的结果．     

具有控制系数的高阶线性微分方程复振荡的一个结果

该文考虑具有控制系数 A\-0 和系数仅有有限个极点的高阶线性齐次微分方程（1.1）。得到了一个复振荡结果，该结果是J. K. Langley［11］等作者在整系数下相应结果的推广。     

Error estimates for Hermite interpolation on spheres

In this paper, we prove convergence rates for spherical spline Hermite interpolation on the sphere S^d−1 via an error estimate given in a technical report by Luo and Levesley. The functionals in the Hermite interpolation are either point evaluations of pseudodifferential operators or rotational differential operators, the desirable feature of these operators being that they map polynomials to polynomials. Convergence rates for certain derivatives are given in terms of maximum point separation.     

Semiconvergence in distribution of random closed sets with application to random optimization problems

The paper considers upper semicontinuous behavior in distribution of sequences of random closed sets. Semiconvergence in distribution will be described via convergence in distribution of random variables with values in a suitable topological space. Convergence statements for suitable functions of random sets are proved and the results are employed to derive stability statements for random optimization problems where the objective function and the constraint set are approximated simultaneously. Parametric multiple sequence alignment and phylogeny construction

Bounds are given on the size of the parameter-space decomposition induced by multiple sequence alignment problems where phylogenetic information may be given or inferred. It is shown that many of the usual formulations of these problems fall within the same integer parametric framework, implying that the number of distinct optima obtained as the parameters are varied across their ranges is polynomially bounded in the length and number of sequences.     

Convergence estimates of Galerkin-wavelet solutions to a Cauchy problem for a class of periodic pseudodifferential equations

A class of Cauchy problems for interesting complicated periodic pseudodifferential equations is considered. By the Galerkin-wavelet method and with weak solutions one can find sufficient conditions to establish convergence estimates of weak Galerkin-wavelet solutions to a Cauchy problem for this class of equations.

     

Improved convergence of a non-perturbative semi-classical pressure broadening model

It is shown that by including the second term of Magnus expansion, improved convergence can be achieved for the non-perturbative pressure broadening formalism proposed by Neilson and Gordon (J. Chem. Phys. 58 (1973) 4131). The present method was applied to the line broadening calculations of CO in a bath of Ar.
